CARROLLITE: Kamoya South II Mine, Kambove, Haut-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dimensions: 3.0 x 2.2 x 2.0 cm, toenail. Carrollite is a rare copper-cobalt-nickel sulfide, with the very finest of the species coming from Democratic Republic of the Congo, from finds dating to the late 1990s-early 2000s. This excellent toenail is sharp, well-defined, and has a bright metallic luster and dominated by cube faces with minor octahedral modifications.
The crystal is from the "glory pocket" of the late 1990s and this is a sharp and significant specimen! Contacted on the very back where it grew against other Carrollite crystals. Thank you for reviewing this listing and see my other items!
