It is a rainy night. Shino, a young and pregnant girl, comes to the Manya, a historic inn in a large and gorgeous building, and asks to spend the night. The inn is fully booked, but the old proprietress, Hisayo, lets her into a room on the top floor, which she says is unused for some reason. As they wait for the results of the match, Zissonji is found brutally murdered in the next room, and Rurihime is found murdered as well.The scene falls into a state of panic, but for some reason the men worry not about the princess but about the mysterious Todaiji. In order to obtain the fragrance, which is their real goal, the men fight with the Taketori no Kou (incense), but then the cry of Nue (a Japanese chimera) echoes.
