INDOOR DISPLAY OF FACETED STONES. Pictures and videos taken in full white background under strong white light to give a brighter white background to show if any other color present in the stone and inclusions. OUTDOOR DISPLAY OF FACETED STONES. Taken under natural daylight where no direct sunlight hitting at the stone that shows a clean view without shining to much on the surface of the stone. White color version of light is ideal. I hold the light above 7-12 inch over the stone only focusing and hitting sharply right at the stone and where the stone is placed in a lower external light area or no external light area(darker place) in white background. It's very important for Star Sapphires with color. Same applies to cat's eye, star spinel and any variety that shows stars and rays.

When there is an important feather or any other inclusions to be noted, I take videos and pictures placing the torch light right on to the skin of the stone viewing inside deeply that shows the feathers and the inclusions clearly. I use torch with white or yellow light to view inside depending on the stone.

DISPLAY OF ROUGH STONES AND CRYSTAL. Similar to the details mentioned in the display of faceted stones and feathers and inclusions display additional we dip the stone in oil to show more visibility with extra videos and pictures.

Stones with complete natural shiny skin need not to be dipped in oil. Measurement pictures are also shown in the listing because of different shapes of the rough. Not so important to take internal view of some roughs depends on the stone. While doing the indoor photography in the white background I turn the item to view the other side, and place it on the floor and again I lift it up, this is a sequence of shooting the item. You can see the shadow of the item when the item is lifted up that helps you to understand how it's done. Same applies to outdoor photography only under direct sunlight for star sapphires, cat's eye and any variety that shows stars and rays. No shadows for faceted stones and roughs because it's taken under normal natural daylight. 360 rotation videos are also available for certain stones.
